On March 3, Wu Hongtao, Chairman of CSCEC Science and Industry, met with Patrick Dupin, Chief Operating Officer of Saint-Gobain, in Shenzhen. The Saint-Gobain delegation included Eric Lempereur, Vice President for Construction Chemicals; Ludovic Weber, CEO of the Asia-Pacific region; Sheng Zhaoning, Vice President of Operational Excellence for Asia-Pacific; Loay Damer, Vice President and Strategic Growth Director for Asia-Pacific; and Zhu Yulu, Managing Director for China. Representing CSCEC Science and Industry were Duan Hai, Vice President, and Wang Zhaoyang, Commercial Director. A strategic partnership agreement was officially signed by Wang Zhaoyang and Zhu Yulu on behalf of both organizations.

Patrick Dupin provided an overview of Saint-Gobain’s development. He emphasized Saint-Gobain’s commitment to blending global expansion with localized operations, its strategic emphasis on modular construction and efficient manufacturing, and its dedication to advancing building applications through innovative materials. He conveyed Saint-Gobain’s expectations in strengthening ties with CSCEC Science and Industry to co-develop new market opportunities and foster a partnership rooted in mutual strength and shared success.

Wu Hongtao extended a warm welcome to Patrick Dupin and his team, praising Saint-Gobain’s time-honored history, technical depth, and innovative contributions to sustainable construction. He voiced optimism about future cooperation in key areas such as building a green construction alliance, co-developing low-carbon construction technologies, and pursuing eco-friendly infrastructure projects both at home and abroad. He aims to form a comprehensive strategic partnership to jointly create the future.

During the visit, Patrick Dupin and his delegation toured the Shenzhen Bay Culture Park and the Shenzhen Steel Structure Museum, both constructed by CSCEC Science and Industry. They praised Shenzhen’s urban development and cultural depth, while also recognizing the technical sophistication and project delivery capabilities demonstrated by CSCEC Science and Industry.
