On March 9, a delegation led by Wu Hongtao, Chairman of China Construction Science and Industry Corporation, visited Thailand to meet with Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont, to further deepen cooperation and develop exchanges, and to witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two parties.
Soopakij Chearavanont welcomed Wu Hongtao and his delegation, introduced the development of CP Group and its global strategic layout, and acknowledged the achievements made by China Construction Science and Industry Corporation in the fields of steel structures, prefabricated buildings, green and low-carbon, and new energy. As a global multinational corporation, CP Group pays close attention to energy conservation and green development. In 2024, the group established a new energy business line, designating this sector as a crucial growth driver for its future development. Both parties expressed their commitment to further broaden cooperation areas in the future, innovate cooperation models, and unite strengths in fields such as new energy research and development, zero-carbon industrial parks, prefabricated buildings, and retail businesses, jointly promoting collaborative development in the Chinese, Thai, and Southeast Asian markets.

Cao Jianhua, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group China and Chairman of the New Energy Business Line, and Jiang Li, Vice General Manager of China Construction Science and Industry Corporation, respectively signed a cooperation agreement worth five billion in total for both domestic and overseas projects. Soopakij Chearavanont and Wu Hongtao witnessed the signing.
According to the agreement, both parties will jointly build a "New Energy Joint Research Center" in collaboration with the global Fortune 500 companies and leading universities, focusing on the four major areas: IDC green energy supply systems, biomass energy (green methanol/aviation kerosene), full - chain hydrogen energy technology, and smart microgrid networks, accelerating zero-carbon industrial park transformations and constructions nationwide, and closely integrating new energy with CP Group's operational scenarios.
