On February 27, the 3.9MW BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) project invested and constructed by China Construction Science and Industry Corporation successfully connected to the grid and officially began providing clean energy to the industrial park and municipal power network.

The project is located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, where China Construction Science and Industry Corporation adopted a contract energy management model to install a 3.9MW BIPV distributed photovoltaic power generation system on the building surfaces of the concrete mixing station, prefabricated components production plant, and other facilities in the industrial park. It is expected to provide approximately 4 million kWh of clean energy to the industrial park and municipal power network annually, helping to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in China Construction Science and Industry Corporation’s new construction circular economy industrial park and establish the industry's first low-carbon operation industrial park.

The project generates about 4 million kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to saving 1,211 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3,320.7 tons, which is comparable to planting 215,000 trees each year. It operates under a self-consumption and surplus feed-in model, and under full use of PV-generated electricity, the annual electricity generation accounts for 41.9% of the industrial park's annual electricity consumption, achieving a win-win situation of "sunshine benefits" and "low-carbon production".

Previously, China Construction Science and Industry Corporation had successively invested, constructed, and operated two major projects: the photovoltaic and energy storage stations at the China Construction Steel Structure Guangdong factory in Shenzhen/Huizhou and the distributed photovoltaic and energy performance contracting project at the Shenzhen Design Building, with operational benefits meeting expectations.
