On July 26, the first council meeting and unveiling ceremony of the International Mangrove Center were held in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The Center's secretariat, constructed by CSCEC Science and Industry, has officially settled in Shenzhen, marking the Center's formal transition from a global initiative to substantive operation.
As the world's first intergovernmental international organization dedicated to mangrove conservation and cooperation, the Center aims to promote global cooperation and collective action in mangrove protection, restoration, and sustainable use, while deepening engagement in global ecological governance and safeguarding the planet's invaluable mangrove resources.
