PNG Prime Minister Attends Commencement Ceremony of Swire South Bank Apartment Project of CSCEC

On October 15, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “CSCEC”) held the commencement ceremony of Swire South Bank Apartment Project in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (“PNG”). More than 70 guests, including Prime Minister James Marape of PNG, Capital District Governor Powes Parkop, the relevant responsible person from Swire Group, and the relevant responsible person from CSCEC in PNG, attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister James Marape delivered a speech. He said that the construction of the Swire South Bank Apartment Project would inject vitality to the core area of the capital of PNG and bring more development opportunities to the country. He also promised that the PNG government would continue to create better production and operation conditions in the next five years.
Located in the CBD of Port Moresby, the Swire South Bank Apartment Project is a 21-story multifunctional complex that will provide commercial retail and leisure spaces of more than 8,000 square meters and 88 premium residential units in the center of Port Moresby.
Located in the South Pacific, PNG covers an area of 460,000 square kilometers and has a population of about 8 million. It is the second largest country in Oceania. CSCEC has undertaken many projects in the country, including the Sino-PNG Friendship School·Butuka Academy, Star Hill Plaza (Phase II), and reconstruction of Scratchley & Pari Road.
